Reawakening the Métis Nation

Dear Otipemisiwak Métis Nation,

This is a very important moment in our nation's history.

This is such an exciting time! This is our first election for a legitimate government since the leadership of Louis Riel.

You have this valued opportunity to make your voice heard and Reawaken the Métis Nation.

We are writing to introduce you to Steven Faryna who with your help can become the first ever elected President of the Otipemisiwak Métis Nation Alberta.

The following information on Steven Faryna comes across like a detailed resume and that is very much by design. Steven Faryna is applying for President of the Otipemisiwak Métis Nation and he will be serving you and representing our nation throughout Alberta. Steven feels that you need as much information as possible.

WHO IS STEVEN FARYNA? Steven was born in 1989 and raised in Wayne, Alberta. Steven is 33 years old and has been with his spouse Hannah for 13 years after meeting her in New Brunswick. He is an animal lover and owner of 3 Red Healers and some Cats.

Although, there are many reasons to support Steven Faryna. We have chosen to focus on three.

Firstly, we need to elect people with an ability to responsibly manage budgets and manage people. Steven Faryna has these qualifications. Steven is the Co-Founder and lawyer for Norwest Law with a focus on Indigenous clients. Steven has a wide range of professional experience from articling for MHR Law, consulting for the Tiyata Srtata Council and Community Engagement with the Jane Goodall Institute.

Steven Faryna is also well educated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Victoria completing coursework in Business Associations, Ethics,& Professionalism, Intellectual Property, Public Policy & Dispute Resolution, Contracts, Legal Research & Writing, Non-Profit Sector Law, Information and Privacy Law and Indigenous Legal Research, Indigenous Lands Rights & Governance.

Steven Faryna also has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy & Anthropology. From Mount Allison University in New Brunswick completing coursework in Philosophy of Law, Biomedical Ethics, Social Inequality, Environment and Development, Research Methods and Environmental Ethics.

Steven, also has several Affiliations from being a Member of the Alberta Bar Association, Member of the Indigenous Bar Association to proudly being an MNA Citizen and more.

Secondly, we need someone representing the Métis Nation who is involved in our culture and history. The people of our nation need to be represented by someone who has deep roots in our community.

Steven Faryna is the Founder of Métis Neighbourly an organization that focuses on supporting Indigenous youth through programs to develop skills that give back to the community. Métis Neighbourly has included Wood Chopping, Transportation Support, Paperwork, Taxation Support, Home Improvement, Animal Care, Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles Support. Any skill that one of their facilitators have, and is willing to share, is offered to the students.

Steven Faryna was also Vice President Métis Nation Greater Victoria from 2018 -2020 and Advocacy Co-ordinator for the Native Student Union at the University of Victoria from 2018 - 2019.

Lastly, we need to nominate some one who will listen to the Otipemisiwak Métis Nation and Steven Faryna is clearly that person and is the only Presidential candidate that is actively polling.Métis Nation Citizens as evidenced on the website at www.ElectStevenFaryna.info where he is asking for your concerns.
